We are an independent information website, not a council or waste collection operator. We cannot collect bins, book recycling-centre slots, cancel bulky waste collections, change your collection day or access council account records.

What you can contact us about
- Correction requests: wrong address, phone number, opening time, fee, booking rule, official link or service explanation.
- Update requests: changed collection calendar, new food-waste rollout, bank holiday change, disruption notice or council service update.
- Missing information: a useful official source, PDF calendar, council tool, permit page, bulky waste page or recycling centre page that should be added.
- Editorial feedback: unclear wording, missing user steps, confusing explanation, accessibility problem or page that needs a better structure.
- Privacy requests: questions about personal data, cookies, analytics, advertising disclosures or user rights.
How to send a useful correction
To help us check your correction quickly, please include as much of the following as possible:
- The page URL on wastecollection.org/.
- The council or recycling centre name.
- The exact information that appears wrong.
- The correct information, if you know it.
- The official source link where the correction can be checked.
- The date you found the updated information.
- A short note explaining whether the issue affects all residents or only a specific address, route, estate, property type or booking type.
What we cannot do
We cannot answer private account questions or intervene in council services. We cannot view your council account, change your address details, prove why a crew did not collect a bin, process payments, issue permits, guarantee an opening time, book a slot or override a council decision. For those actions, you must use the official council or contractor service.
Examples of issues for your council, not us
- Your bin has not been collected and you need to report it.
- You need a new, lost or damaged bin replaced.
- You need to pay for garden waste or bulky waste.
- You need to book a household waste recycling centre slot.
- You need assisted collection because you cannot move bins.
- You need clinical waste, sharps, hazardous waste or business waste advice.
- You need to challenge enforcement, contamination notices, fines or service refusal.
Editorial review process
When we receive a correction, we try to compare it against official council pages, GOV.UK pages, council PDF calendars, household waste recycling centre pages, official booking pages, public service updates or waste contractor pages. We may update the article, add a clearer disclaimer, remove uncertain information or mark the point for future review.
Response expectations
We read legitimate messages, but we cannot guarantee a personal reply to every email. Messages that include a clear page URL and official source link are easier to verify. Spam, link-building requests, misleading outreach, copied press releases and irrelevant guest-post requests may be ignored.
Privacy reminder
Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your request. Do not send payment details, medical information, full identity documents, council account passwords, tenancy documents or private household records. If your issue requires those details, contact your council directly through its official channel.
