Normal household waste and recycling from your own home, such as cardboard, bottles, tins, household electricals, furniture for disposal and garden waste, is normally free when accepted.
Free only within limit
Hardcore, rubble, soil, ceramic bathroom items and plasterboard from your own home DIY are free only up to four 25-litre bags, equivalent 100 litres, or one qualifying single item per visit.
Chargeable
Larger DIY quantities, extra DIY visits and plasterboard over the free allowance can be charged. Payment is card only, not cash.
Business, landlord or paid work
Waste from a business, landlord property or paid service must be declared at booking and paid for as commercial/trade waste where accepted.

Hardcore, rubble, soil, ceramic bathroom items and plasterboard are not classed as normal household waste, even when produced by your own home DIY. Suffolk’s free limit is strict and linked to household/vehicle checks.
